RaceLines

Live

Draw a racing line. Physics drives it. Beat the world's lap time.

Passion Project Games

Why this matters

Most racing games test your reflexes. RaceLines tests your judgment: you draw a racing line on a top-down track, and a deterministic physics simulation drives it (braking, grip, and all), then reports your lap time. Same line, same time, on every device. It’s chess-like racing: pure line craft, no controller skill required.

What exists now

  • A live daily-track game with a shared qualifying leaderboard
  • A deterministic 120 Hz physics engine (fairness is the product)
  • A track studio and a community track builder with weekly voting
  • Mobile play with touch-precision drawing

What I’m looking for

Players, honestly. The game is live and evolving weekly, and I’m looking for people who enjoy racing strategy to playtest, break things, and tell me where the fun peaks and where it dips. Track designers are especially welcome: the community builder means your track can become the daily track for everyone.

Open questions

  • What makes a drawn line feel skillful rather than trial-and-error?
  • How far can community-authored content carry daily retention?
  • Is there a “pro mode” audience for telemetry-level line analysis?
